Snow

I know for most it's a pain. The cold causing our heating bills to be through the roof 6 months out of the year, at least that's norm for good ole Maine.  Snow that builds up to the point of not knowing where else to put it.  Snow that never seems to stop. Digging yourself out of the ditch. Waking in the dark and watch the sun set at three in the afternoon.  The list could go on and on.

But for me. It's beautiful. It's not just because of my love for skiing. It's because of the spiritual aspect snow brings with it. All of creation cries our praise to our Maker. Snow shows us our need for cleansing. Our need for sacrifice. Our need for Jesus' death and time in the grave. The endless love that we are give through the death of a perfect Son. The forgetting for my stink and wickedness.

 Breathtaking.

Let the cleansing begin.

"Come now, and let us reason together," says the LORD, "Though your sins are as scarlet, they will be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they will be like wool."
~ Isaiah 1:18

1242.  Snow a symbol of cleansing.
1243.  A yearly reminder of God's love for me.
