A day without boxes, EFA 2.21

Since the house is full of these:

And since we've spent most of the week doing this:

A family day outside was in order.

We decided a morning spent in Birds Acre was in order.

A rustic, relaxing place to be.

We played together, collected pine cones, learned about birds, made new friends and examined animal skulls.  A little boys idea of a perfect day.

It's easy walking so it wasn't hard on Strong man's bummed knee.

Any idea what this is?

Using my camera always brings me joy.  My two favorites of the day:

A perfect day for the whole family.

A song written by a teenage friend of mine.

You are the Creator! Worthy of all Praise!!

You are the Creator...
Worthy of all Praise!
Let the nations bow down before You,
let the rulers of all the nations bow down,
casting their crowns down before Your thrown singing,
“You are God the Creator of all!
The Maker of the earth!
You are worthier of praise than the sky can proclaim.
Your Son,
the Lamb,
the atoning Sacrifice,
the Maker of my life,
giver of life through man.
You are God and I am Your servant.
We aren't worthy of Your grace.
We are humbled at Your feet.
You are Holy, Holy, Holy, Holy! “
Raise your hands all you nations below,
praise the risen King with the creation.
Freely we will sing,
“My Jesus Who concord death and hell's fiery gate to purify us in the fire of Your love.
Change us into Your people, for we are the clay in Your potter's hand.
You are worthy of all praise. You are Holy, Holy, Holy....”

Birdsacre - EFA 2.15

Since the water was to high for fishing today we went to the Birdsacre wildlife sanctuary.  It's free and huge.  I recommend it to any and all.

I've been looking for the perfect flower for this shot for a long time.

I'm in love!

2309.  Man of the woods who stopped to help a stranger pick up the things he had dropped.
2310.  The symmetry of nature.
2311.  Nature walks.
2312.  Shiloh the blind great horned owl that gave my boys great delight.
2313.  Board walks through mossy bogs.
2314.  Green everywhere.
2315.  Bold colored flowers.
2316.  Birds of all kinds.
2317.  Man of the woods offering on his own accord to share his snack knowing it's one of my favorites.
2318.  The joy Man of the woods had as he carefully examined and compared the different nests on display.
2319.  Laughter telling us that he would "change his anger to obedience".

What do you see?

Let's play a game shall we?  Do you remember when we were wee littles on warm days laying in the grass looking at the clouds?  Do you remember all the things you found in the clouds?  Clouds hold it all don't they?   Come play, lay in the grass with me.

What is it that you see here?
I see heaven in the far off distance.  With sin hiding it's beautiful streets of gold.

And here?
A glimpse.

Those beautiful streets over taking the shadows of this world.  That is what I see.

And now what do you see?

I see a heart, made out of fingers.  Maybe held by the arms of God?

And now?  True Glory?
...Breath taking!
I see that there must be a Maker.  There is too much beauty for a chance to fall upon us like this everyday.  The very fact that this happens everyday draws me into the thought of the Maker.

Then God said, "Let there be lights in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night, and let them be for signs and seasons and for days and years; and let them be for lights in the expanse of the heavens to give light on the earth"; and it was so.  God made the two great lights, the greater light to govern the day, and the lesser light to govern the night; He made the starts also.
~ Genesis 1:14-16

1519.  Glimpses of Glory.
